Prof. Viprakasit is the founder and CEO of the ATGenes® Co., Ltd., the leading biotechnology company in Thailand established since 2014, also Professor of Pediatrics at Department of Pediatrics & Thalassemia Center at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. After graduation with the first-class honor from Mahidol University, he continued his training in pediatric and pediatric hematologist and a Doctorate in Molecular Medicine from University of Oxford, UK. His research works focused on a translation of basic molecular biology into routine clinical practice. He received numerous awards for his works including Sultan Bin Kalifa International Award (SiTA) from UAE, the best research award of the year (2018) and the National Outstanding Researcher Award (2021) from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
